Music in the Park is back this summer! |

The popular summer music concert series, “Music in the Park,” is back this year with six events in Forest Hill Park on Sunday evenings featuring live, local music. The series is brought to you by the Westover Hills, Forest Hill, and Woodland Heights Neighborhood Associations, and the City of Richmond. Here’s the exciting line-up:
- May 16th (6 to 8 p.m.) – VCU Student String Ensemble, a classical string music quartet
- June 13th (6 to 8 p.m.) – Skydog, an Allman Brothers tribute band
- July 18th (6 to 8 p.m.) – Capceira Resistencia, a Brazilian dance/martial arts troupe and percussion group
- August 15th (6 to 8 p.m.) – The Atkinsons, alternative country rock
- September 12th (5 to 7 p.m.) – Gypsy Roots, European jazz from the 1920s and 1930s
- October 3rd (5 to 7 p.m.) – Miramar, South American love song duets
So plan to come out to enjoy some great music and visiting with friends and neighbors. You can even bring a picnic if you like! Stay tuned to WHNA’s web site for details about the concerts.
